"Creeping"
to Great Heights Asplundh Canada
Inc. crews in the Remo Maddalozo Region certainly
aren't intimidated by heights. Earlier this year,
Foreman Dan Derenowski (pictured left in bucket)
and his crew took to the sky to remove this vigorous
Virginia Creeper that had climbed 85 feet high,
taking over the front of the Bank of Montreal building
in Kam Loops, British Columbia.

A
Prickly Situation Check out this
enormous cactus encroaching on power lines in Phoenix,
Arizona. General Foreman Hector Garcia, Foreman
Ken Mann and Crew Member Jose Loaiza of the Will
Willis Region safely tackled this tall order of
a trimming job in the scorching Arizona sun for
Salt River Project.

Working
Hard in Paradise This photo, snapped
by General Foreman Leoxbell Montalvan of the Pat
White Region, shows that life isn't just a beach
in the Florida Keys. High up in the bucket is Foreman
Jose DeJesus trimming the ever-growing lush greenery
for Florida Keys Electrical Cooperative, helping
to keep the town of Tavernier picture-perfect and
powered-up during the hot summer months.

Weekend
Warriors A fierce line of storms
disrupted power in Alabama on February 16, 2001.
Tree crews from the Steve Bostock Region joined
forces with the region's overhead construction crews
from the Florida Panhandle and the Preston Polk
Region to help restore power to approximately 450,000
customers of Alabama Power and various rural electric
cooperatives. Pictured at right is General Foreman
Larry Bergen and crew re-setting poles in a back
lot easement.
