Awards for Operations, Safety, and Storm Work
Gold
Award - Vice President Tom Gunning, a 10-year Asplundh
veteran who has almost 30 years of experience in the line
clearance industry, received Asplundh's Gold Award during
the 2001 Managers' Meeting. He was recognized for his
untiring, personal dedication in supporting employees
and the company in the darkest hours of the Holiday 2000-2001
Ice Storm and helping utilities restore power in Arkansas.
Gold
Award - Manager Eugene Wyatt, a 25-year Asplundh veteran,
was also presented with an Asplundh Gold Award during
the Managers' Meeting for his outstanding work on the
Holiday 2000-2001 Ice Storm. Designated as the single-point-of-contact
for the coordination of Asplundh storm crews on the property
of Entergy, Eugene worked diligently and effectively to
serve the needs of both the customer and Asplundh.
Silver
Award - Manager Richard Calledare of our subsidiary,
American Lighting & Signalization, Inc. in Florida,
received a Silver Award for his determination in achieving
excellent performance overall throughout his roadway lighting
maintenance operation.

Award - Manager James Hardiman of our subsidiary,
American Lighting & Signalization, Inc., also received
a Silver Award for his hard work and dedication which
has helped his lighting construction region attain an
overall outstanding performance.

Award - Manager Martin Arriola was presented with
an Asplundh Silver Award for his superior management and
leadership of the company's first region to effectively
outsource its crews to other Asplundh management regions
while serving customers of his own.
Recently,
during the Annual Managers' Meeting, the five managers
above received Merit Awards in recognition of their special
contributions to the corporation. The managers listed
below were also honored for their noteworthy perfromance
during storm emergencies or for their region's outstanding
safety records.
