The group, based at our Willow Grove, PA headquarters, provides customers and our field operations with specialized training, innovative research results, public relations, presentations, technical writing, and more. Specific duties include:

• Promote research and development projects with utilities, municipalities and other customers to encourage new cost-effective tools, equipment and methods
• Write technical articles and press releases for trade journals on new developments, cost saving opportunities, and other industry trends
• Make presentations at conferences and seminars, and conduct workshops on vegetation management techniques
• Keep abreast of developing technology, and be alert for new products and service opportunities
• Serve as expert witness or consultant for regulatory, and court cases
• Stay active in industry associations and projects to enhance professionalism within utility arboriculture (Utility Arborist Association, International Society of Arboriculture, National Arborist Association)
• Cooperate with Asplundh Corporate Communications in developing presentations, videos, and brochures to promote quality service
• Assist field managers and customers with questions and concerns about environmental regulations and compliance
• In general, cooperating with corporate and field management in promoting professional, aggressive leadership in the industry.
