Realizing how important meters are to a utility's ability to generate revenue, Asplundh began offering meter services to its customers in 1992.

Asplundh currently owns two subsidiaries that provide a broad range of meter services to electric, gas and water utilities. Although their service territories may differ, both Utility Meter Services, Inc. and VSI Meter Services, Inc. offer a wealth of expertise in meter reading, automatic meter reading deployments, connects/disconnects, collections, strategic planning and technical support.
